Due to our effort to maintain our position as the world leading supplier to the
impeller market, we have in early 2006 invested in a new frequency multi
analyzer.
The analyzer is a Brüel & Kjær type 3560-B-110 FFT (Fast
Fourier Transformation) analyzer equipped with a B&K PULSE Multi-analyzer
system (FFT and CPB (Constant percentage bandwidth in 1/n octave
bands)).
With this type of analyzer we will, among other things, be able to
measure sound spectra (CPB in 1/n octave bands) faster, more efficient and
precise than before.
Because the analyzer is a multi analyzer it will
also be used to check and measure vibration levels.
Together with the
analyzer we have invested in an impact hammer in order to determine resonance
frequencies for both the blades and assemblies. This applies for both plastic
and aluminium.
The analyzer will mainly be used in our wind tunnel where
it will be used for research in order to constant improve our sound data. This
will finally also satisfy our costumers demand for sound spectra.
Finally
the analyzer will improve our possibility to support our customers and make
trouble shooting in situ, on demand, due to the fact that the analyzer is
portable.
